What is the Grand Junction Symphony Guild?

Very simply, a group of people who work together to support great music in the Grand Valley.
The Grand Junction Symphony Guild is a not-for-profit organization devoted exclusively to the support and promotion of the Grand Junction Symphony through financial, educational and other activities.

What does the Guild do?

Guild members conduct a variety of fundraising events reaching out to the community. Guild financial support also enables various community educational activities. Some of the programs the Guild also supports are the Young Artists Competition, an Instrument Petting Zoo, Children’s Concerts, Crystal Baton Competition for students in 6th through 8th grades, Concerts in the Classroom, and an Orchestra Appreciation Lunch. A comprehensive description of the programs the Guild supports is on the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra's website at https://gjso.org/support/guild/.
Fundraising events include Brats in the Park sales held in conjunction with the Symphony Orchestra's Evening Under the Stars concert, a winter holiday Candlelight Dinner at Two Rivers Winery & Chateau, and a Springfest Luncheon and Fashion Show, also at Two Rivers Winery. Throughout the year other fun fundraisers take place. Recently, the Guild has sold spring flower baskets with Bookcliff Gardens, and has hosted a high tea event, an Oktoberfest and a Burgers and Beer evening.
Guild meetings are held on Friday mornings before each Classics weekend. The meeting begins with light refreshments, followed by a general business meeting. Music Director Charles Latshaw and guest artist(s) also give members a preview of the upcoming performance.
